Mac OS X Leopard VPN Setup
This tutorial will demonstrate the procedure for setting up Mac OS X (10.5)
to forward data through Privacy Tunnel's protected servers.

For OS X 10.4 "Tiger" or earlier, click here

  1. Go to the Apple Menu > System Preferences
  2. Click the Network icon
  3. Click the + button on the lower left

  4. Select VPN from the interface pull down menu

  5. Select PPtP from the VPN Type pull down menu

  6. Enter PrivacyTunnel in the Service Name field
  7. Click the Create Button
  8. Enter vpn.privacytunnel.com in the server address field
  9. Enter your Privacy Tunnel Username in the Account field

  10. Check the Show VPN status in menu bar checkbox
  11. Click the Advanced button
  12. Check the Send all traffic over VPN connection, and then click the OK button

  13. Click the Apply button
  14. Click the Connect button

You are now connected to Privacy Tunnel VPN, all of your internet traffic will be routed via Privacy Tunnel Servers. You can connect, disconnect and see how long you have been connected from the new VPN status menu in your menu bar.
